Carbon emissions are a primary driver of rising global temperatures and reducing them is a top priority worldwide. To address this, researchers are focusing on technologies to reduce carbon emissions. Professor Tianyi Ma is working on a project to repurpose carbon dioxide into ‘solar fuels’ like green methane, carbon monoxide, and methanol. Prof. Ma recently received an Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellowship of over $937,000 for this project, and his research aims to make a significant impact on carbon emissions.
