GrapheneX has partnered with New Frontier Technologies (NFT) in this project to develop significant sovereign capability for automated manufacturing of high-performance carbon-thermoplastic composites for the space, aerospace, defence and other sectors that require high-value, bespoke composite structures. This capability will realise an advanced manufacturing value chain based on a design to digitalisation philosophy that can support digital certification. It will encompass conceptual design, design for manufacture, automated and precision manufacture, space relevant testing and characterisation, advanced diagnostics (x-ray CT) that enable digitalisation of the structure and multi-scale modelling performance simulation and prediction.
