Efficient, Low-Cost, Eco-Friendly Solar PV Recycling Technology

  • October 2, 2020

This collaborative project with GrapheneX, UNSW, and partners aims to create an efficient, cost-effective recycling system for recovering valuable metals and silicon from end-of-life photovoltaic panels. The growing use of solar panels has highlighted the need for better recycling due to environmental concerns and business opportunities. The project, inspired by metallurgy, will develop a closed-loop recycling system, involving metallurgy, photovoltaics, waste treatment, and industry partnerships. It will employ cutting-edge methods such as computer simulations, experiments, and analysis to achieve this goal.
